The new theatre system installed at Cardinal Place was featured in a CBC News article that highlights the benefits of music therapy a way of combating social isolation for the elderly.

Now, residents at Cardinal Place can enjoy the sounds of the Windsor Symphony Orchestra without having to leave their retirement hoome.

The retirement home was expected to sponsor one of the WSO's concerts, but it was cancelled due to the pandemic. The orchestra organised virtual concerts instead and Mike Cardinal wanted the residents to be able to see them. "We can't bring the seniors from Cardinal Place here to the symphony. Let's bring the symphony to the seniors," said Mike.

"Music is particularly beneficial for people struggling with a change of location, memory loss, and social isolation. Listening to music helps them to remember familiar places and events and make associations with happy times through musical memories." he added.
